The Public Works Technical Institute is where we always go for our MOT Refresher classes. Great classes with lots of interaction.  My employees are safer after coming back from these classes.

Our History and Present – Public Works Academy

1500+

Since we opened in 1987 we’ve seen the lives of over 1500 students changed.  This is important to those lives who were changes, the public works industry and the needs of our local governments.

1987

The Public Works Training Institute (formerly known as the Public Works Academy) was founded in 1987 as a non-for-profit educational organization.  This educational institution was created from the coordination of public works leaders in the Pinellas County area in the early 1980’s.
