Course Content
On the OSHA website, you will find a number of injuries and fatalities caused by the improper use of the chainsaw. Though the chainsaw saves time and labor, it can also cause severe injuries and death due to kickback and improper use.
Course Description: This is a four (4) hour course designed to give the individual training on the safety and operation of the chainsaw. Course content will include the following:
a. various uses of the chainsaw
b. Nomenclature of the chainsaw
c. Oil/ lubrication/ fuel
d. Personal Protective Equipment
e. Chainsaw start-up
d. Chainsaw safety/ transportation/storage
f. Cutting techniques
g. Hands-on activities
Course Length: Four (4) hours
