Course Content
The forklift is an excellent piece of equipment that can save time, money and labor. To the extent that the forklift can save time and money, it can also cause injuries, both chronic and acute. The OSHA website lists different categories of injuries and fatalities caused by the forklift. It is the intent of this course to provide the individual with the skills necessary to prevent many of these injuries and fatalities.
Course Content includes the following:
a. Nomenclature of the forklift
b. Pre-start Safety Considerations
c. Design Considerations
d. Picking up the Load
e. Moving the Load
f. Setting Down the Load
Course Length: Four (4) hours
